Sophie Margaret Dinkelspiel was born 29 September, 1897 in San Francisco to Samuel Lazarus Dinkelspiel and Beatrice Lucille Bachman.
Sophie attended the Miss Mursion School along with her first cousin, Alice Silverman. She was a debutante and frequently in the society pages of the newspaper.
In 1917, Sophie married James Herbert Schwabacher and had two children, Marie Louise and James Herbert Jr.
She died 22 October, 1972.
