  1. Family lore has it that Ralph died of injuries sustained in sand lot football. However, his death certificate says he died of lethargic encephalitis. It could have been chronic traumatic encephalopathy.

Ralph B. Benioff

Ralph B. Benioff was born to Anna J. Chlebnikov and George H. Benioff in San Francisco on 19 November 1913. He was the brother of William J. Benioff (1919-1968) and Mortimer A. Benioff (1912-1974). He died at the age of 15 on 19 May, 1929 in San Francisco, of Lethargic Encephalitis.
