Meyer Levy

Meyer Levy was born 15 January, 1873, in Drohitchen, Belarus (probably), the son of Abraham and Rose Levy, the brother of Ike and Shmuel Levy. He married Sadie Matalovsky around 1894 and they came to the US around 1896, settling in Brooklyn, NY. Their daughter Rose was born in the old country and the remaining children were born in NY (except for Gertrude who was born in Chicago).

Meyer worked as an Expressman, I think something like a truck driver.

Meyer died in New York, 28 July, 1941, at the age of 68, of a heart attack, on the sidewalk in Brooklyn.

I invite you to send me any stories, memories, letters (even if untranslated), documents and photos concerning Meyer Levy and I will add them to this website.
