Infant Benioff

This baby girl, probably unnamed, was born in 1902 to Isaac Benioff and his third wife Ida Baylis Benioff. Apparently Isaac was away when the baby was born and subsequently died, and Ida, not being able to find a Jewish cemetery nearby, mailed the deceased infant in a box to her husband’s place of work in NYC. The newspaper articles tell the story.  So far I have not found the death record in NY or in Delaware. Nor do I know where she might have been buried.
