Lazarus Dinkelspiel
Lazarus Dinkelspiel was born in the town of Michelfeld in Baden Germany. He came to this country as a young man and ended up in San Francisco during the Gold Rush in 1849. He opened several dry goods stores in San Francisco, Portland, Oregon and other locations. He married Pauline Hess in 1860. He had seven sons and three daughters.
