David Benioff was born 16 July, 1910 in Los Angeles, California to Leo (Louis) Benioff and Nettie Camarows.
He graduated in 1926 from Belmont High School in Los Angeles. He was president of the senior class.
He married Florence Francis Cohen on 24 November, 1937 in Los Angeles, California. They had a son in 1942 and a daughter in 1944. David was employed by the Los Angeles Board of Education and was an educator who taught at Garfield High School for many years. He became the Vice Principal of Washington High School. He was a member of B’nai B’rith and the Alhambra Youth Center and served as an official at many football and track events.
David died on 10 April, 1960 in Alhambra, California after a brief illness.
