Abraham Jacob Benioff (1906-1997) was born 8 May 1906 in Dover, Delaware, to Isaac Jacob Benioff and Ida Edith Baylis.
He married Leona Doris Lustig (1915-2007) on 20 May 1945 in Lehigh, PA. They had 2 daughters and one son.
Abraham was injured in a train crash in 1926 in Bethlehem, PA. He was a furrier and joined his father, Isaac, as well as his brothers Shim and Herman in their business in 1927. He attended the New York University School of Business and the Mitchell School of Design.
He served as a first lieutenant in the military during WW II in the South Pacific arena.
In 1972 was awarded the Louis Kroll Memorial Award – Man of the Year by the Master Furriers Guild of America.
He died in Allentown, PA on 27 November 1997, of heart disease and diabetes.
